SAP ANALYST WITH FICO SPECIALISATION
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior SAP FICO Analyst for our offices in Madrid.
The Senior SAP FICO Analyst will play a key role in the management, configuration and enhancement of the Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules within our S/4HANA (RISE) system. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of financial and accounting processes, as well as the ability to tailor SAP solutions to the specific needs of the organisation. The ideal candidate will be a functional consultant with experience in implementing, optimising and supporting SAP FICO solutions, with a focus on financial process automation and compliance.
They will also be the IT Business Partner’s day-to-day support for managing other financial applications and associated professional services.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Systems Engineering, Management or related fields.
-Minimum five years’ experience in functional roles related to SAP FICO.
-Proven experience in SAP FICO implementation and/or roll-outs and upgrade projects (such as SAP S/4HANA migrations).
SAP FICO (FI): Experience in general accounting processes, accounts payable/receivable, fixed asset management and bank management.
SAP FICO (CO): Experience in cost component management, cost centres, internal orders and profitability analysis.
Knowledge of the PS module
Experience in integrations between FI/CO and other modules (MM, GR).
-Experience in managing professional services associated with SAP and other financial systems.
-Ability to perform functional design and work in conjunction with ABAP services and developers.
-Comprehensive understanding of financial processes such as:
General accounting.
Monthly/annual accounting closure.
Fiscal processes and reporting.
Budget planning and cost control.
-Experience in financial process improvement projects through automation and optimisation in SAP.
-Ability to understand and translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
-Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at different levels.
-High level of autonomy.
-Proactivity in the resolution of incidents, problems and orientation towards continuous improvement.
-Advanced Spanish (essential).
-Intermediate/advanced English to interact with global teams and produce technical documentation.
Other requirements:
-Experience in SAP localisation specifically in Latin American countries is valuable.
-Experience migrating from other ERPs to S/4HANA is valuable.
Functions
Design and Configuration:
-Configuring the FI and CO modules, including the creation of organisational structures, setting up standard processes, as well as queries and reports.
-Performing functional designs for specific processes required by the business.
Financing (FI):
-Implementing, optimising and supporting FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA and FI-TR submodules.
-Optimising and supporting the financing functionality that covers the firm’s specific OTC and partner management needs.
-Ensuring compliance with legal and fiscal regulations, adapting configurations to local and international frameworks (such as IFRS or local regulations).
Controlling (CO):
-Configuring, optimising and supporting CO-CE, CO-CC, CO-IO, CO-PA and CO-PS submodules.
-Design planning and budgeting strategies using SAP CO.
Integration with other SAP modules and other tools of the firm:
-Ensuring FI/CO integration with other SAP modules/products (MM, Group Reporting, etc.) to guarantee the proper flow of financial data.
-Collaborating with the purchasing and invoicing teams to automate cross-departmental processes.
-Collaborating with the integration of SAP with other non-SAP tools (Treasury, Analytics, etc.).
Operational Support and Maintenance:
-Managing the day-to-day running of the services associated with the SAP4/HANA AMS (corrective, upgrading and evolutionary) and other financial systems of the firm.
-Where appropriate, resolving service requests and analysing system issues related to SAP FICO, and proposing effective solutions.
-Collaborating with keeping the platform up to date, managing upgrades and patches with the technical team according to the SAP calendar.
-Identifying areas for improvement in financial processes, proposing innovations and leading their implementation.
-Providing functional support to key users on issues such as accounting closures, audits, financial and analytical reporting.
Project Management:
-Participating in SAP4/HANA implementation and migration projects, ensuring compliance with schedules, quality and business objectives.
-Supporting key users in identifying needs.
-Documenting requirements, functional specifications and procedures related to the platform.
Training and End-User Support:
-Providing technical training for finance teams and end-users on the use of SAP4/AHANA modules.
-Creating manuals, user guides and other support materials.
In addition, as a member of the Solutions team, backing up and assisting with the management and support of the other applications in the department.
