IT INFRASTRUCTURE & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Job Description
The Infrastructure & Communications Manager position is a senior role in the IT department and will lead the firm’s strategy, operation, projects and transformation processes within this department.
You must have the vision to deliver technological solutions in an organisation that is growing in size and number of sites and moving to the cloud. For this reason, the candidate must demonstrate a professional career in different organisations, with transformation processes that they have led and international challenges that they have tackled. In addition, they should bring strong technical knowledge and operational skills to lead the day-to-day technical tasks and support the technical team when required.
Requirements
- Technical engineering in computer science or higher degree in computer science.
- Fifteen or more years of IT experience
- Five or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting, policy setting and resourcing.
- More than five years working with Microsoft’s Cloud suite: Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, InTune, etc.
- Practical experience in outsourcing services, from conceptualisation, tendering, implementation, transition and monitoring.
- ITIL certifications and practical experience in ITIL implementation (from Service Catalogue onwards) and metrics monitoring.
- Given the growth of the firm, it is essential to demonstrate experience in facility management, and specifically in setting up new offices.
- Demonstrable project tracking skills, given that the firm has numerous transformation initiatives to be delivered in the coming years.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing ITSM tools (in particular ServiceNow).
- Demonstrable experience and leadership in cloud adoption, including establishing governance mechanisms, delivering migration projects and modifying the I&O target operating model.
- Demonstrable experience in the most efficient communications and back-up architectures for the firm’s current and future international footprint.
- Demonstrable experience in operations monitoring and incident response.
- Experience in setting up and managing a Disaster Recovery (DR) infrastructure.
- Development of governance practices to track and measure the quality of services, and maintain service improvement plans.
- Leadership, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Proactivity and self-assessment, soliciting feedback from others to improve performance.
- Analytical skills, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution.
- Communication skills.
- Continuous drive for improvement, commitment and reliability.
- Experience in various organisations and international footprint.
Other requirements:
- Holding Project Management Certification (PMP, Six Sigma) would be an asset.
- ISO27001 training and knowledge of ENS would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Cloud service offerings.
- Recognised technical certifications in IT, and in particular those related to Azure Cloud services.
- Given that one of the firm’s growth areas is Artificial Intelligence, knowledge of the models that support it would be considered an asset.

Strategy
- Propose the annual plan for the department in coordination with the Head of Infrastructure & Operations.
- Propose the necessary changes and improvements in the department, to ensure the availability of the services and technological improvement of the company.
People
- Follow up and supervise the team’s correct performance.
- Ensure the team is the correct size.
- Design the team’s career plan.
- Ensure a good team atmosphere.
- Resolve conflicts that may arise in the team.
Budget
- Identify the department’s economic needs and propose the expenditure required to meet these needs.
- Keep financial control of the department budget.
Service
- Define and maintain the catalogue of services in the department.
- Identify and propose new services that can bring value to the company.
- Define the governance model of the services within the department and in relation to other related IT areas.
Operation
- Define the operating model for the department.
- Ensure that the operation within scope is carried out on the basis of the best market standards (ITIL).
- Define operating procedures.
- Define operational flows.
- Establish the necessary monitoring and checks.
- Establish the KPIs and metrics necessary to evaluate the correct operation of the service.
Technology
- Keep abreast of technological trends in the market in order to seek improvements that can bring value to the company.
- Optimise technological solutions and the integration between them.
- Ensure the stability of the technology platform within scope.
- Ensure proper monitoring and control of the platform within scope.
Suppliers
- Handle the relationship with service providers in the area.
- Coordinate service follow-up meetings with the suppliers involved.
- Attend meetings with suppliers as required for the presentation of new services, projects, etc.
