Pérez-Llorca is an international law firm that operates in Spain, Portugal and Mexico and provides high-end advice on major market transactions and disputes.

The firm offers comprehensive advice on Spanish, Portuguese, Mexican and European law with offices in Barcelona, Brussels, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Mexico City, Monterrey, New York and Singapore, where more than 800 professionals work together.

We are looking for a Digital Workplace Solutions Engineer for our offices in Madrid.

General information

Organisation: IT department, reporting to the head of the IT infrastructure.

Equipment and resources: budget allocated for project implementation if required.

Relationships: with all of the firm’s user areas, with ServiceDesk, with the rest of the Infrastructures team, and with the firm’s Facility Management, Human Resources and Communication departments.

Type of role: We are looking for someone with a technical and operational profile with project management skills who is DEX-oriented, or a hands-on manager to carry out the necessary tests and pilots to meet the firm’s Digital Workplace requirements.

Scope: The entire Digital Workplace: laptops, tablets, smartphones, base software, collaborative environments using Microsoft 365, virtual desktops, printing systems, personal phones (IP, mobile), collaborative systems (hardware and software), network folders and meeting room equipment, and the relationship with the physical elements of the office.

Summary of the role

The Digital Workplace Solutions Engineer role leads the strategy, projects and processes for the transformation of the digital workplace environment and services tailored to each role. The candidate will be responsible for designing, selecting technologies, piloting and configuring the Digital Workplace, designing standards in access, deployment and monitoring. In addition, they will promote continuous improvement, identify practical solutions, design scalable architectures and ensure alignment with security policies.

Functions

•    Being responsible for the strategy, definition and design of the workplace environment at a technical level, taking part in optimisations and projects. The solutions designed should be simple, reliable and with the appropriate quality-cost-benefit ratio.

  • Designing the Digital Workplace, selecting the technologies, piloting and configuring them, ensuring the implementation of the workplace standard in terms of access, layout, deployments, environment updates and monitoring. To do so, the successful candidate will rely on the executive activity of the Service Desk, which will have to follow their standards and guidelines.
  •  Creating/maintaining memories, service sheets, approvals, technical guides and procedures, so that they are accessible, available and reliable.
  • Promoting continuous improvement of services and components.
  • Conducting and promoting R&D to incorporate new practical and business-aligned solutions that can support business needs, while maintaining coherence and alignment with the principles and objectives of the Digital Workplace.
  • Designing scalable architectures leveraging cloud services or other mechanisms.
  • Contacting suppliers and Key Users within the Digital Workplace.
  • Promoting employee self-service tools within the IT service portfolio in order to improve employee satisfaction and improve time-to-market. 

•    Analysing the current situation, designing and executing the integration strategy for the firm’s future M&A actions, as well as for new offices, providing the firm with standards, guidelines and procedures to industrialise it as much as possible.
•    Defining adoption and training programmes and coordinating change management. 
•    Anticipating, understanding, managing and negotiating internal customer needs, expectations and issues.
•    Within the scope of the Digital Workplace, ensuring alignment and compliance with the firm’s security policies and procedures, framed within ISO 27001.
•    Monitoring the service (qualitative and quantitative) offered by the Digital Workplace deployed in the office, using the inputs deemed necessary: Service Desk, surveys, etc. ensuring that commitments are met.
•    Third level of escalation, or escalation management with suppliers, in Workplace incidents.

Requirements

•    Three years in a similar role.
•    ITIL training, and practical experience in release, change and problem processes
•    Solid experience in defining the Workplace in organisations with multidisciplinary users (around 1,000 employees).
•    Fluent English.
•    Office 365 advanced level, with one of the following Microsoft 365 Certified certifications: Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate.
•    Advanced project management and planning capabilities. 
•    Experience in culture change management and training techniques.
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate workplace concepts and how to use them to improve productivity to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Empathy.
 
Other requirements:


•    Holding Project Management Certification (PMP, Six Sigma) would be preferred.
•    ISO 27001 training would be an asset.
•    Appropriate technical qualifications, e.g. SCCM, AirWatch, Intune and Autopilot
•    Experience in Facility Management.
•    Experience in Workplace Virtualisation.
•    Cloud services offering, including Azure and AWS.
