BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST SENIOR

Job Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will support with the strategy, projects and data analysis processes, as well as insight generation for decision making. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining BI solutions, ensuring data quality and reliability. In addition, they will promote continuous improvement, identify practical solutions and ensure alignment with security policies.


The firm is currently implementing and migrating to new Data Architecture, supporting it, improving its governance and business insights capabilities, increasing self-service, and providing tools to improve decision making. This role will be involved in this process from the outset.
 

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

-Five years in a similar role.
-Some of these certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
-ITIL training, and practical experience in release, change and problem processes
-Advanced project management and planning capabilities. 
-Knowledge of ETL processes, data integration and data warehousing concepts.
-Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure for data storage and processing. 
-Substantial programming skills using languages/tools such as PySpark (Python) Spark (Scala) for data manipulation and scripting. 
-Solid understanding of relevant best practices in data governance, data quality and data security. 
-Fluent English.
-Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present ideas to business stakeholders
-Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
-Openness to collaborate with supporting other applications not directly related to the data domain. 
 
Other requirements:

-Holding Project Management Certification (PMP, CSM) would be preferred.
-Microsoft Certified Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification.
-Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI and QlikSense.
-Cloud services offering, including Azure and AWS.

 

Functions

-Supporting the strategy, definition and design of the BI environment at a technical level, taking part in optimisations and projects. The solutions designed should be simple, reliable and with the appropriate quality-cost-benefit ratio.
-Designing and maintaining BI (and in particular visualisation) solutions, ensuring the implementation of standards in terms of access, layout, deployments, environment updates and monitoring.
-Creating and maintaining technical documentation and procedures, so that they are accessible, available and reliable.
-Promoting continuous improvement of BI services and components.
-Carrying out and promoting R&D to incorporate new practical solutions that can accompany and are aligned with business needs.
-Collaborating with the design of scalable architectures leveraging cloud services or other mechanisms.
-Managing and contacting suppliers and key users within the BI sector.
-In addition to liaising with key suppliers and users, they will manage the services associated with the BI architecture. This includes supervising and coordinating Application Management (AM) services for the evolution and correction of systems, as well as the implementation of cloud services.  
-Promoting self-service tools within the IT service portfolio in order to improve employee satisfaction and improve time-to-market.
-Defining adoption and training programmes and coordinating change management.
-Anticipating, understanding, managing and negotiating internal customer needs, expectations and issues.
-Ensuring alignment and compliance with security policies and procedures, framed within ISO 27001.
-Monitoring the service offered by the BI solutions deployed, using the necessary inputs: surveys, etc., ensuring that the commitments made are met.
-In addition, as a member of the Solutions team, backing up and assisting with the management and support of the other applications in the department.
