BILLING ASSISTANT
Job Description
We are seeking a Billing Assistant, ideal for a Technologist or final-year student in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related administrative fields, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in billing and invoicing processes, preferably within law firms or professional services environments.
The role involves supporting the firm’s billing operations by preparing time reports for partners and clients, ensuring the timely collection of purchase orders for assigned matters, issuing billing proformas, and consolidating expense backup documentation. The position also requires the review and activation of clients and matters, as well as providing ongoing support with the uploading of invoices and proformas on client billing platforms, in compliance with client and firm requirements.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven legal environment. Advanced professionalism, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong client-service mindset are essential.
Requirements
• Technologist degree or final-year student in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related administrative programs
• At least 1 year of experience in billing/invoicing, preferably in law firms or professional services companies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially intermediate Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal stakeholders and clients
